EAPC embraces the spirit and aspirations of East African Community and therefore derives members from across the East African Community region. Currently there are 6 partner media regulatory bodies and media development agencies drawn from Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Somalia. The leadership of EAPC seeks to bring on board potential members derived from Burundi and the Republic of South Sudan.
The formation of the EAPC is a clear reflection of the East African Community aspirations and more specifically the need for media sector integration.
The EAPC secretariate is based in Kenya and currently housed at the Media Council of Kenya offices located at the Britam Centre, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
